Boxing – is Boxer Ricky Hatton Fighting a Lost Cause
It was only a matter of time for hitman Ricky Hatton to announce that he is to fight his biggest fight of all. Hatton’s decision to support The Sun newspaper campaign to make our streets safe to walk is the most courageous of all his past feats in the boxing ring. Not only is this guy seen as one of the world’s greatest champion boxers of all times, he is also seen as a magnificent force to voice an opinion on matters of concern which is destroying the society we live in. It is because of vandals, hooligans and thugs that people fear to tread the boardwalk.
Ricky Hatton says to help stop crime we need more law enforcement on the streets, stronger discipline in our schools and mum and dads need to play the role of good parents Good parents keep their children in check and will always know of their whereabouts, however and sadly to say we have the mum and dad who do not give a toss of their kids whereabouts therefore giving them a passport to freedom to do as they like. We are now living in a society where children not long out of nappies discard baby rattles for guns and knives making our streets unsafe.
Innocent people are dying and being mugged, pensioners raped in their homes or the most horrifying of late the filming of brutal beatings on mobile phones. We are a nation that needs round the clock protection from our own kids.
Hoodies congregate in phenomenal numbers on street corners because they have nothing to do, but guzzle down bottles of vodka purchased for them by an innocent passer-by feared to say no to the menacing gang of underage drinkers and smokers out to draw blood if their demand for booze and cigarettes are not met. (Not all teenagers)
No matter which corner you stand Ricky, if you don’t have the support then this is one battle you can expect to lose, however your words of wisdom justified in accuracy as to being a solution to make our streets safe to walk, will guarantee you the support, even from those who in the past may have cheered on your opponent in the ring.
No one likes to see the career of a champion fighter come to an end but in your case Ricky Hatton retirement can not come quickly enough, because of your proposed endeavours i.e. helping youngsters to get off the streets and to be more constructive in life.
Ricky Hatton did you ever consider running for parliament, this country needs people like you, who understands what the people want and what is best for making this country a safer place to live. Another option is to have blokes like you on the street (vigilante). I am pretty sure the bad guys will turn good.
I can just see it; Ricky Hatton takes the nations vote in run up for prime minister. Think about it Ricky no opposition to argue the cause because you get to call the shots just like you did in Vegas – hence clarified by Floyd Mayweather him self
Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton was born on 6 October 1978 in Stockport.
Ricky Hatton started boxing at the age of ten years old; Hatton before turning professional in 1997 was originally a carpet fitter. He is an avid fan of football; his much loved team is Manchester City, the team his father played for.
Ricky was trained by Billy Graham and formerly promoted by Frank Warren; Hatton became the IBF champion of the world in June 2005 when he defeated Russian-born Aussie, Kostya Tszyu in front of a home crowd at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Ricky Hatton is known for his close-quarters style and fierce body punching.
Billy Graham his trainer said of Hatton: “Ricky’s a real funny guy when out of the ring telling jokes, but when inside he’s cold, merciless and an awful man, this we know Billy but are you forgetting something he also has a HEART of GOLD.
The whole nation is with you all the way. If the cause you fight is successful, then no more blood smeared pavements will we tread with a smile on our face.
